Podnutz episode #56 started off with a discussion of a tool called WSUS.

A Google search finds this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/wsus/e, but it's for a server-based service.

Where would I find the WSUS utility mentioned in the show?

I did find something called the WSUS Offline Updater: http://knol.google.com/k/wsus-offline-update-c-t-projekte-offline-updater-ctupdate#What_is_the_WSUS_Offline_Updater(3F)

Is that what they were talking about?

I agree, this is a great tool. However, be warned. Last week I had a HP desktop that I had to do a nuke & pave. The O/S was XP Media Center Edition. After running the WSUS update process and after the first reboot the machine would not boot. It would get to the Windows logo and then reboot. Not sure about the solution but during the creation of the ISO disk I did not see Media Center listed as an option. I ended up restoring again from the recovery partition and then manually downloading all updates.
