I have an observation of how you have made the same mistake that I have. LEVELS! Door sounds like he across the room in the doorway and the other guy is talking in my ear. I don't know if there is still an offline version of Levelator, but there may be something akin to it. Having to listen in a quiet room as not to get a headache from the shouting in my ear.

As to the quality of TWiT etc., they also make this same mistake. The most obnoxious thing is a quiet end to one episode and a blaring beginning to the next and vice versa.

Can you be more specific to which episode you are referring to?

This whole subject is a bit nit picky. I do not want a lot of time spent on this. I used to edit a podcast, so I hear the podcast audio differently.

Episode 128 is ironically the one where Door talks about the podcast audio quality. I hear Coop much much better. Can Door get a better mic?

I still hear it a bit in 129.

I have been listening for 128 episodes without mentioning anything, so I still measure the golden content high enough to keep listening. Honestly if Door and Coop were doing the podcast in a garbage can, I would still listen.
