With all the cutesy little computers coming out these days I'm wondering if anyone is offering hardware that has a wan port and 4-8 local ethernet ports I can install a linux/BSD / open source firewall-router software?
I've seen so many "computers on a chip" with ARM & INTEL processors but I haven't seen anyone offer up one that could be configured as a router. I think it would be pretty damn cool if someone came out with an open source router that comes with a router distro installed and also lets you install the open source router distro of your choice if you don't like what it came with. I think if someone came up with this product that it would be light years better than standard routers.
