Hiya.
Probably of no interest to most of you, but I thought I would mention this.

My daughter (13 yrs, and don't we know it !!!) was racking up a Sizeable mobile phone bill (actually my phone, paid for by my business), so I googled call blocking so that she couldn't overrun her call allowance.

The googles said it wasn't possible to block, but I phoned Orange and explained. They said all I had to do was to keep track of how many minutes she had left and if she did get near the limit, call orange and they would block outgoing services.

This would also block outgoing text messages.

I put a block on the phone for an hour, which madam didn't like one bit :)

The point was made though and normal service was resumed shortly afterwards.

She has agreed to go easy when I advise her she is near the limit.

Yep, she is lazy.

Regards.

Pay as you go package with unlimited texts?

when she reaches her limit, she cant call friends but can still text and you know how much it's going to cost every month.

I'm on and a fan of giffgaff (o2), My son is pestering for a mobile but will burn through any credit we give him just texting or calling his friend across the road.

Giffgaff dose unlimited texts and net for £10 with 300mins for voice. when the credit is spent, you can still call other giffgaff users so if needed he can still call home for help.

Thanks for the reply. Alas, madam is on a 24 month contract. Seemed like a good idea at the time. :(

I will bear this in mind for the future though. Cheers

I just started using this app per your suggestion, and so far it is working very well to keep me within the limits of my minutes. Thanks for the info. :) There are also some voip service apps that do similar things if you have a Business Voip Phone System linked to your cell phone.
