Just got a phishing eMail asking me to verify my graigs list account.

My account is not "inactive" I know that much..

Anybody else get any phishing attempts like this regarding graigs list?

Geez, so far my graigs list ad has yielded more junk than customers.

I never received a phishing email from craigslist, but I have received them from paypal, ebay, and a few others. All phishing attempts of course. I used to report the emails to paypal/ebay but I got tired of wasting my time with that & I just delete them now.

scammers gotta scam :?

Don't get many of the ebay ones anymore.
Although I apparently have hundreds of undeliverable packages from UPS and USPS.

LOL -

With me, my account/payment/log in credentials were always "compromised". If that were the case, I shouldn't have been able to purchase anything using paypal or ebay for years now...

Talk about phishing. Here's a good story. One time I went to my credit card companies website...YES, THE REAL WEBSITE, I'm positive I was at the correct URL.. And there was a special link to click on that said, "Someone has been attempting to log into your account, please click to log in"

It didn't make any sense because it was the home web page of the credit card company, Capital One. It wasn't my own account home page, or an eMail. If it was a real personal message to me, why would it be on the home web site for thousands to see?

It just didn't seem right to me. Somebody had to of hacked into their servers and did this. There was also the normal dialogue boxes to log in.. That's the route I took. I reported it to capital one. It was like that for about two days I think before they finally caught it. Scary!

You know it's a con when they put Dear Member why would they put that if they know your name they have your details they only say dear member when they don't know your name and always be suspicious when they ask for your detail if your not sure contact the credit card company and ask them if they sent you an email.
