I have been repairing computers since 1997. Like Mitch, I work a full time job and repair computers as a second job ( which I enjoy ). I had a shop for 5 years and enjoyed it but needed Insurance so took a full time job. I was happy to find the Podnutz shows. I have listen to the twit shows for years but it is nice to hear other computer techs discuss repair issues. The three of you have a great chemistry together. Tim,s laugh is contagious and I catch myself laughing out loud at work (it’s a good thing I work alone most of the time) LOL. Martin you do a great job hosting. I have learned tips from each of you. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your time and knowledge with us.

Hello Again Martin,

I hope all is well with you.  I’m a few episodes behind on Geeksters (I think I’m on ep99 right now) but I have a question for you regarding OpenDNS.  I’ve heard you talk about using OpenDNS for clients and it’s something I’ve been thinking about doing as well.  But it seems to me that for businesses they want you to use their “business” services, which are not cheap.  Are you just using the home product and leaving it at that?

I have a small non-profit client with 5-7 PC’s that the director wants to have some web filtering set up but every option seems to have a fair sized yearly cost.  OpenDNS free would be great but I didn’t know if it was Kosher to use in a business environment.  I’m just wondering what you thougthts are and how you are using it.

BTW you are doing great work on the Geeksters.  I like Tim and Mitch, but you are why I keep listening.  You keep the conversation focused without rambling and that’s important, at least for me. I don’t have a lot of free time to listen to podcasts and such so I expect to get the maximum content from the ones I do listen to and you provide that.  So thanks for all the work you do towards doing that.

Regards,

– George
