The researchers have now shown that a brute force attack on the WPA2 password
is possible and that it can be exploited, although the time taken to break into a
system rises with longer and longer passwords.
** To encrypt a network with WPA2-PSK you provide your router not with an encryption key, but rather with a plain-English passphrase between 8 and 63 characters long. Using a technology called TKIP (for Temporal Key Integrity Protocol), that passphrase, along with the network SSID, is used to generate unique encryption keys for each wireless client. And those encryption keys are constantly changed.
** Important to chnage your SSID, because it’s 1/2 the key

Hello   Geeksters,
Had a computer running Windows 7 on the bench with Microsoft office 2010, every time the customer tried to open an Office program Windows Installer would launch.  It kept asking for the location of the single Image File. I could not locate such a file and I could not uninstall office in Programs and Features just kept getting error messages.  After doing some research I found a Microsoft Fixit that would uninstall Office 2010. I was able to reinstall Office after running the Fixit program. So I thought I would share the site with other Techs. This Microsoft page has Microsoft fix it’s for uninstalling most versions of office.  Here is the Link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179

Howdy Martin,
I just wanted to drop you a line and say I really enjoy listening to Geeksters. I have been listening to Podnutz for awhile now and was very pleased when you kids showed up. You are a great addition for sure.
Also I have been testing ScreenConnect for a bit and I was wondering what VPS you run it on. Is it the $5/month Digital Ocean. That is what I have been testing it on but my internet connection is horrid. I live deep in the Canadian Rockies and trying to use SC on the VPS is a pretty terrible experience. I am wondering how it runs for you and if it is all my ISP or if part of it is due to running it only on 512mb RAM.
The last episode of Geeksters you asked if anyone would be interested in a show about NAS. Yes. That was easy. I recently bought an Omninas KD20 on the cheap. I believe it was $60 on Newegg or NCIX. (I mentioned to Door that he should have links for Newegg.ca, Amazon.ca, etc….still waiting) Anyhoo, I have been running the KD20 with 1 2TB HDD and it has been great…locally. The only question I have about it is if there is anyway to skirt an ISP which won’t open any ports. This was an issue when I was trying to test ScreenConnect on a home computer also. Not only is my ISP crap they won’t allow any port forwarding at all. I was hoping to find a way around that, although I am not holding out hope.
Well I hope this email makes sense as I was working at a brewery all day and I am exhausted.
Keep up the good work and pass on my praises to the other Geeksters if you would.
Thanks,
Josh
