MacBook running Quicken 2006 on Parallels:
Windows XP in Parallels would run fine but Quicken would not.
It would freeze, halt and just run strange.
Tried several things to fix the issue like
sfc /scannow which scans all protected files and verifies their integrity,
replacing any files with which it finds a problem
-Windows System Restore
-Windows repair
-and uninstalling and reinstalling Quicken

Solution:
Her Quicken database was corrupt.
Customer was keeping a decent backup
so I loaded the previous database
and the program worked fine after that.
HP DV600 laptops have a known reputation
for the mother boards to fail.
HP has extended the mother board warranty for this reason
Check your model number at the HP website to see
if your mother board is affected by this.

It wasn’t the hard drive:
This system would crash everytime you tried
to reinstall Windows and even though this hard drive
passed SeatTools hd diagnostic
Even tried Dariks Boot and Nuke
I still was convinced it was the hard drive so I replaced it.
Symptoms never changed. Still crashed.

Solution:
Further hardware troubleshooting pointed to a bad
stick of RAM. Replaced RAM and works fine.

I do not want to use the ustream chat indefinitely
for the PodNutz Lounge
because of all the spammers it receives.
Plus ustream has been putting ads in the center of my videos
so I maybe be looking for another video host.
