XP Desktop BSOD/Reboot
After you get to the Windows login screen.
Had to uncheck “Reboot on error”
to see the BSOD error message
1. Right click My Computer.
2. Choose Properties
3. Choose Advanced tab
4. Click Settings under Startup and Recovery
5. Uncheck Automatically Restart
BSOD error was the broad catch-all message:
Page fault in nonpaged area

Dell Inspiron 9000 monstrosity laptop:
Upon powering on there would be a flicker on the screen
the computer would run for a few seconds then power off.
It is either the processor or the mother board.

Rebooted and all is running well, but the hard drive is humming now.
