Healthcare problems and costs, most can be solved by eating the right types of foods.

Most diabetics, people who suffer from rheumatoid  arthritis, guiout, etc can all be solved(curred?) through diet.

The contains incredible stories of individuals whose only options would have been to go through dangerous surgeries, or costly medications to get their weight under control.

Basic Principles are to eat nutritionally dense foods.

Unlimited (Eat as much as you want)

  • All Raw Vegetables (goal: 1 lb. daily)
  • Cooked green and non-green nutrient-rich vegetables (goal: 1 lb. daily; non-green nutrient-rich vegetables are eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomatoes, carrots, cauliflower)
  • beans, legumes, bean sprouts and tofu (goal: 1 cup daily)
  • fresh fruit (at least 4 daily)

 

Limited

  • Cooked starchy vegetables or whole grains; butternut and acorn squash, corn, white potatoes, rice, sweet potatoes, bread, cereal (not more than one serving, or 1 cup, per day)
  • raw nuts and seeds (1 oz. max per day)
  • avocado (2 oz. max per day)
  • dried fruit (2 tablespoons max per day)
  • ground flaxseeds (1 tablespoon max per day)


Off-limits

  • dairy products
  • animal products
  • between-meal snacks
  • fruit juice
  • oils

What I did – Basic Skeleton Plan

Breakfast: Fresh Fruit

Lunch: Salad, beans on top, and more fruit

Dinner: Salad and two cooked vegetables (1 lb.), fruit dessert

I eased into this plan from about  Thanksgiving 2012 to New Year 2013. Stuck to this pretty religiously for 6 months. Gradually started adding other foods back into my diet.

Results have been great with one side effect.  I lost a lot of weight in a relatively short amount of time.  So now I have to deal with some sagging skin around my midsection.

Things to do:

  1. Wait it out – should start to reshape itself in about 2 years

Things to do: eat right, stay hydrated, don’t lose weight too fast, take care of skin

Things to avoid: Hot water(long showers), too much sun, harsh detergents, chlorinated water, etc.
