No notes to fall back on.
The day was so terrible that
I almost did not do the show today…that’s how bad.

But I decided to do the show because I feel the need to reveal
that in this field of computer repair, you have bad days.
It is NOT the end of the world.
But it was real close today.

Let us reminisce:
The overwritten files PC? Remember that one?
Yeah that nightmare.
I was going to do a free repair on his laptop
since I messed up so hard.
I spent weeks on his laptop.
Blamed the processor and replaced.
It worked fine.
Threw the old processor in the trash.

This guy came in today and wanted to
transfer files from his old laptop
to the one I fixed.

I rebooted his laptop and the same problem
that he brought it in with occurred in front of his face.
Wouldn’t post and froze.
This guy is cursed.
He is a nice guy and it doesn’t make sense but definitely
Bad mojo.

So I am *giving* him a Dell Laptop
that I was going to sell to another customer
and I will take the loss because of the history.

Email from Mike:
Windows 98 and XP
Windows 98 can be installed on a VM inside of Windows XP
provided extra RAM is installed.
Or within XP you can utilize the compatibility mode.
XP is backwards compatible that way for 98 software.

Also techs should have a mountable headband flashlight.
Another item for the tech toolbag for about $10 for spelunking.
