Wireless Adapters and their software:
I hate the programs that come with these adapters.
They fight with Windows Configuration Utility.
Nightmare.
How I only load the drivers for the adapters:
Plug in the adapter.
Let Windows detect it.
It will ask you to point to the drivers.
Load the disk.
Point to that drive.
This solved the problem with the Dell
that was having wireless issues.
Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop:
One good account (profile)
The other profile was slow
and newly created profiles were slow, too.
Tried installing SP2 and it crashed.
Rebooted. Seemed fine.
SP2 was recognized.
USB ports not working.
Installed SP3. Installed fine.
USB ports still not working.
Uninstalled all of the usb controllers
via device manager
Rebooted.
USB worked fine.
Chronic IE issues with customer:
IE giving script errors and would crash
Reset under tools/advanced/reset.
Customer was visiting shady sites
suggested FireFox as a browser
to fix the issue once and for all.
XP antivirus 2009 on a Vista
.. just came in today.
Will let you know how it goes.

Sure might be the cable signal, but I think it is the TV.
… I suggest spending more on a name brand
