Dell Dimension desktop needed cleanup.
Customer calls the next day and states
the CD drives do not work.
They did not show up in My Computer or in
Device Manager so customer brought back in.
Cable was disconnected. Connected.
Still no CD drive showing.
Restarted the services I turned off.
Still no CD drive showing.
Solution:
BIOS settings were set to off.
Changed to auto detect.
FYI: Trend Micro was consistantly maxing out the CPU at 99%
Removed and installed AVG for better performace.
