- HP Pavilion 1620 desktop Windows XP Media edition, Problems with AOL parental controls preventing internet access, uninstall all AOL occurrences, still getting parental controls, used CCleaner, found AOL SQL database, ran assorted malware detectors including malwarebytes, blacklight(rootkit detector). Backed up data, tried a reinstall from the recovery partition (control-F11), but recovery partition was corrupted, restored from another system disk, used ninite to load up various software including, VLC Player,Open Office, 7-zip
- Customer wanted a foreign language OS on their laptop, able to use a spanish XP image with the existing COA
- Compaq cq6011dx with a fake antivirus program simulating Anti-vir, triedSuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes, and Trojan Remover with no effect, was able to remove with Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool(MRT).
