  1. Ask for help correctly
    1. Provide all the necessary information.  Infact, provide more information than necessary.
    2. Do not ask for help like your customers ask you.
    3. Remember, you asking asking for someone’s time and effort.  You will get back what you put in.
    4. Do not be a jerk… please.

    1. Document your primary vendors support contact info (email, phone, website).
    2. Use the tools they provide to help you… correctly.  Do not use an RMA form to ask for support, etc.
    3. Loop in your sales representative (i.e. cc, etc.).  A good rep will appreciate this to keep them on top of product issues and your account.
    4. Try to get an advocate at the company.  If you deal with a good support rep that is knowledgeable ask for their extension or direct email.  Then respect it.
    5. Ask your sales rep what they see other customers doing.

    3. Follow up.  Respond to those that try to assist and post your results to help others.  Remember, you are trading time and knowledge.
    4. Search for the ones that fit your style (serious, funny, etc.), business (medical, dental, etc.) and follow your primary vendors.

    4. Call the government… you are paying them to help you whether you use them or not.
  1. Have someone else do it for you (you are not the only person that needs what you need)

    2. Hire a Professional: Get a CPA
    3. Use a Service – TechSite Builder – Concierge
  1. Create a MasterMind Group
    1. Find some other techs that do what you do and service similar clientele and setup a monthly or quarterly meeting to hash out questions, issues and simply communicate.

    1. Go back to school.  Take some classes or training
