How to: Fix Windows 10 1803 Update New Full Drive creation

Step 1: In Disk Management, right click on the partition that you want to remain hidden and select “Change Drive Letter and Paths”.

Step 2: With the drive letter selected, click remove.

Step 3: A warning about programs not working if you go through with this action will appear. Click yes.

Result: The drive in my example now doesn’t have a drive letter and is labeled as disk 2.

diskpart in the command line:

Step 1: Type list vol to get a list of all the volumes.

Step 2: Type sel vol X where X is the volume number you want to hide. In my case it is the number 5.

Step 3: Type remove letter=X where X is the letter that the volume is using. In my case, it is the letter F.

Result: Type list vol again to confirm that the drive letter is no longer assigned to that volume.
